The first quarterly release of sidux has been released, right on the heels of the stable Debian Lenny release. This was probably a good idea, since the Debian Sid repositories are likely to be wild and crazy with new packages updated now that the log jam has been released.
I downloaded this software in case I want to install it somewhere else, and as a backup in case I ever run into problems. I do not need to install it right now because of the beauty of the Debian Sid - and thus sidux - rolling upgrade method. I updated and upgraded today, so I am all set on this system, the Gateway laptop, and as always, it is running great.
